Spectacular decor.  Less than average food.  Mediocre sushi.  I ordered a Tempura Udon and it was by far the worst I've ever had.  The noodles were too soft and the taste was terrible.  The tempura wasn't even crunchy.

The sushi on the other hand comes in a larger than average size.  It's decent, but I've had better.  Everything was also pretty pricey.  I've only eaten there once, and probably won't go back unless it's to sit outside in the patio and look "cool".

Went here for one of their sake tastings...

not bad!! in fact, good!

they had 2 of my fave sakes so that was great! i also go tot explore the organic side of sake, which i had yet to try.

the sushi pairings were grrrreat!

fish was supremely fresh and you could tell it was never frozen.

i'll definitely go back, if not for the Kubota Manju, the sashimi!!

*The food here is not bad, but you must know that this is a not a traditional Japanese restaurant, even though it is called "Tokyo Table". It serves rolls, not sushi.

*Also, you have to know that the items on the menu are intended to be shared amongst your group.

*The portions are fairly decent size for the price you pay for it.

*It didn't take too long for the food to come out, but I wonder if it was due to the lack of crowd...

*The place is also poorly lit, so try to utilize the minimal light you have or use your cell phone/ flashlight... or you can simply strain your eyes over the menu.

I went here last night, so the food it still fresh in my mind. So what we ordered was...

1) Rainbow Roll: Nothing spectacular, really. It can be found everywhere else. We were just really hungry and we wanted something to combat it quickly.

2) Lobster Dynamite Roll: Very filling and very creamy since it was covered in dynamite sauce. I didn't really like this one simply because I thought it tasted odd since it was sushi drenched in cream.

3) Beef Tataki on Balsamic Sushi Rice: This was definitely something I have never tired before, but it was really good. I recommend this one of all the stuff we have tried. It's basically eating a slice of meat with rice, so you can tell that it isn't as weird as it sounds.

4) Sushi pizza: This was a really strange dish in general, strange in presentation, strange in smell, and strange in taste.  The oddity of it was the sole reason why  my boyfriend and I decided to try in out in the first place. Basically it is chucks of salmon, scallops, and crab meat on top of rice and nori. I should have bought a real pizza instead.

So we ordered about 4 small dishes and that was complete overkill on our stomachs. Our waiter told us the ideal order for us was a couple rolls and an entree to reach a level of satisfaction and content, perhaps it worked wonders for others, but certainly not for me. So next time, I'll probably order one or two rolls and share an entree-- and I'll probably stay away from the odd sounding dishes.

This was a decent place for happy hour, which is from 9-11pm. Weird hours, I know, but it suited me fine. We ordered appetizers - limited selection but price was decent for the small portion. We had 3 people splitting 3 appetizers and it came out to be perfect (keeping in mind this was after dinner). Sake was supposedly good per friend. And the fruit-flavored mojitos were refreshing. The alcohol was enough to give you a slight buzz yet was light so you were able to drive home afterwards (which I'm sure was their purpose). Waiter was really cute(!) and made good recommendations. He also came by a lot for water refills and to check up on us. I'd definitely go back for happy hour and maybe, just maybe, for their meals as well.

This is purely for drinks because the boy and I had to kill time before Wall-E since we missed the first showing. Drinking is actually cheaper than wandering the mall and shopping.

Lychee mojito! DELICIOUS! Hands down the best drink I had that night.

Passion fruit sochu. Second to the lychee mojito by quite a bit, but held its own. A little sweet but good flavor.

Green tea float. Non-alcoholic but also delicious. Ice cream swimming in this sweet green tea syrupy concoction it could possibly be better if it was carbonated though. Sounds weird, but it's like a green tea milkshake. Yum.

Service was excellent, we told them we were just there for drinks and in somewhat of a hurry. Drinks came out quickly and they really wne out of the way to serve us first. I'll come back for food later.

Yes. Yes. and Yes!

I must've passed by this place a billion times and never would've thought this would be a new addition to my fav late night happy hour spots. (I have a collection)

Our party of 10 was seated immediately (very good). I was very impressed by the decor, it was really beautiful and cozy. I loved the embroidered pillows.

Nichi (I think that's how you spell it) mojitos along with about 7 other flavored mojitos were $3.50!
What The?!?!?!
They were so good I had to have 4 of them... Yes, I had to.
The rest of the beverages were half price. You can't beat that.

For appetizers, we had these seasoned french fries (which were 3 bucks) and I got to say, they are almost as good as McDonald's french fries. I also had a Lobster Dynamite. I've had better but it was still pretty good.

Overall this was a great first time experience. Good drinks, good food and a nice staff, what more could you ask for???
I would recommend this place to anyone. And you'll probably find me here on a Sunday night from now on!

Because Tokyo Table is located in Santa Anita mall, I wasn't expecting a trendy restaurant at all - but this place is a pretty nice place to have dinner after long hours of shopping. :)

I ordered the Angus Rib-Eye here, which was extremely tender and marinated with Asian spices and flavoring. I heard that the Sushi pizza is good here so I will try that along with the Garlic Shrimp w/Rice next time. Someone next to me ordered the Garlic Shrimp w/Rice and it looked SO good! It came sizzling in a huge stone hot pot and it smelled really good from my table. I also tried some of their rolls and they were fresh and pretty darn good.

Cute ambiance, the mirrors make the place bigger than it really is - which is pretty trippy and cool.

Overall, my dining experience was very good and I would definitely eat here again if I'm in the area.

service = friendly and helpful.
decor = must agree with some of the other reviews in that it is a bit too trendy for the mall, but the atmosphere is definitely nice nonetheless.
food = pretty not bad.
sake = 'kanchiku' was pretty light. nice buzz.
but the reason i would go back = MELON CREAM SODA! nice size scoop of vanilla ice cream, floating atop sweet, sweet melon soda. sooooo good! =D

I was a little shocked when I first walked in to Tokyo Table.  "Trendy" and "Arcadia" aren't usually together in the same sentence.

This restaurant feels like it was transplanted out of the Westside with the decor, music, art, lighting, servers, and everything coming together to make a great experience.  Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the food which is Asian fusion at its best.  Every dish is delectable and I'm disappointed when I get full because there are a couple more items I would like to try. There's always next time...

Though the restaurant is fairly new, all of their great Westside attributes are being appreciated by the San Gabriel Valley crowd and business seems to be booming.

At least they left in this touch of Arcadia: You have to go to the mall to eat at Tokyo Table.

Granted, I didn't eat here, but I was so put off by the false advertising that I just left.  Lured in by their huge banner of a happy hour menu at 9, of advertised $3 sakes and $2 beers--good enough--but the only $3 appetizers they had were edamae, fries and somthunoranother--I mean, like, .50 off.  All the other appetizers listed on the happy hour menu were regular price!  Yes, cheap Asian that I am, and fuming, I thought, after being seated, let's just order a sake, beer, and edamae, but after it took a while for a waiter to come around, we finally just glanced at each other and left.  I haven't done that since college!...oh so many years ago.

THREE words....Lychee-effen-Sake! (ok, take the effen out as you cant actually order it that way! lol).

so we went to the sake event here and it was totally off the hook! not what i had expected but then i wasnt sure what i was expecting as it was my first event of this kind. so here it is...

for $35 per person, they close down the restaurant during this event. only people with reservations gets in. they set up the entire restaurant like its a convention with booths (tables) arranged with different sakes and their food pairings, which included a variety of japanese cuisine such as unagi rice (yummm-effen-o!), peppered chicken, tuna salad, sashimi, rolls...etc. each table offers two different dishes and two different sakes. i must say, the food tastes like heaven! i ate sooo much i thought i was going to burst. and the sakes werent bad either, but honestly, as much as i enjoy a nice serving of rice wine, i can only drink so much of it. some of them were smooth, some a bit harsh, some were sweet, and others were too bitter. but after a couple of VERY generous pours from each booth, they all started to taste the same anyway. =D

they also have a booth of GEISHA SAKETINIS. this is a MUST have if you ever go there! they're "fruity nigori sake cocktails" and come in four flavors: red grape, lime, sour apple and lychee) YES! i was drinking the lychee one as if it was going out of style the next day! they were serving them in itty bitty lil shot glasses but towards the end, i just handed the server my full size glass and said "pleeeeease?" lololol

i have to say, maybe becuz it was a special event, but the staff there were surprisingly the most friendly staff i've ever encountered at a restaurant. especially given how busy the place was. even their sake sommelier was there to work the room and answer any questions you  may have regarding the sakes or in my friends case "chat". ;-)

we'd heard about their dessert, the honey toast, and was asking the staff there if we could just order one and pay extra for it, but unfortunately, it was a special event and they werent staffed to make them...booooo.

we got a gift cert on our way out and you best believe i'm soooooo going back there and get one of those honey toasts......and of course more lychee sakes!

Tokyo Table. I came here long time ago for dinner, and I brought my then girlfriend. I really like the food, but I do not like the dark interior. The service was good, but the place felt a little dead. It was good for us, since we had privacy, but it also felt weird being in that open-aired space with so few people especially for dinner. I'll check it out again, and hopefully it'll be more popular than when I first visited.

I loved how this restaurant looks.

There is an outside seating area with pillows, patio style. However given that it was 90+ degrees, I opted for free AC (as any sane person would.)

The interior was a pleasant surprise as well. Wooden bench like seating stained in dark wood with colorful accent pillows f red, green, and golden yellow.

There is a huge large wooden structure hanging from the ceiling, "chandelier like" but no lighting coming out from it. Nice booth seating, dim and dark restaurant. Mirror walls and huge glass wine display. ;)

Even more points for me was the visual menu! I am a visual over verbal person. I like to see more than hear/read. And the menu did exactly that. There were photos associated with every roll, plate, entre, dessert, drinks, sake, cocktails, etc. You get the point. I was in LOVE LOVE LOVE with the menu. Very well done.

When it comes to trying new restaurants and food, it helps to see what it looks like before. What's stimulating to the eyes is usually stimulating to my stomach.

My friend and I got the following:

Seared tuna Salad with a wasabi mayo dressing (very DELISH!). I got the half size portion for $9.95-ish. I should have gotten the full position for $3 more but I did not want to be super full during my shopping excursion or else I'll be wobbling around.

We also got the shrimp tempura roll. Pleasant, nothing extraordinary.

My friend got the bento box special they had for $12 that came with two  entrees, soup, rice, salad. Pretty good deal. I'm not exactly sure what her two entrees were though. But she said it was good. I was too full to try.

I also got their watermelon mojito which was a perfect touch to a HOT day! Very refreshing and well done. You can tell the watermelon was fresh.

Service was ok. We had to flag down our server many times for water, refill on water, my friend's lunch (he forgot) and then her rice and miso soup.

He was nice, however nice and bad service doesn't exactly get a star in my book. :P

We got our bill and he forgot to charge us for the bento. I planned on mentioning the mistake to him, but it took him 20 mins. to come to our table after we flagged several other waiters around so.....  we paid the bill that was given and left.

Overall, I'd definitely come back for the drinks and salad. Food was good enough. Ambiance was great. Service was eh. I've had worst and better.

The desserts looked good too, but my tummy was not having anymore.

Too bad there isn't a negative rating available, or else I'd give it a negative 5 stars or something.  We will never come back to this place again!

A week ago, on a Friday night, my bf had made reservations for us there to celebrate a special occasion.  I believe our reservation time was for 7:15pm, but we arrived a bit later than expected due to parking.  After all the parking chaos, we got there and stood at the front podium at about 7:25pm for about 8 mins, at least, before the girl in the front greeted us.  The entire time we stood there, she was chatting it up with some guy who possibly worked there as well.

She says, "how many?"
We say, "2"
She says, "its going to be 15-20mins" with this weird as if we're-not-good-enough attitude
We say, "we have reservations"
She said nothing and walked inside and came back out with this,
"its still going to be 15-20 mins"

And with that, we left.

At first I was a bit confused because: 1) it was pretty empty inside and 2) we came a bit after, so shouldn't the table already be ready since we made reservations????? what a waste of time to even make it if its gona be the same?! and 3) why the hell are you giving me attitude? It's like hello? we're the paying customers, without us, you wouldn't be getting paid your $8/hr job standing there only having to greet customers nicely and seating them.  Seriously, how hard is that?  I would have totally said something to that girl up front if my bf did not held me back.  I noticed another yelper below also mention a girl with attitude up front.  I wonder now if its the same girl.  Haha.

Bottom line, this place is a waste of time.

This used to be another Japanese fusion place that went out of business & got take over by Tokyo Table.

Me & couple of my friends came in during their special food & sake tasting event where all the tables turn into stations of different sake brands, Japanese dishes.  It was '~o-ii-shi-desu ne!~~" ^^

The waiter & waitress were all really friendly, greet you with a nice smile & patiently answer your question about various type of sake.

My only complain if any-was being at the crowdy, Arcadia Mall, & even for a Thru. night, it was still little hard to find parking.

So my friend wanted some Non-Japanese Japanese food tonight so I thought about this place. When we arrived, we were told the wait for 45 minutes or we could sit and dine outside. My friend and I opted for the immediate outside seating. I did have a chance to go inside and Tokyo Table was trying to go for a nice posh look but for whatever reason, the interior didn't do it for me. It felt cramped and I thought the layout was strange.

I highly recommend perusing the menu online before you come here to see what you may like. One good thing about this place is their selection of drinks. You can find more drinks here than you would at other Japanese joints. Food-wise, this place is definitely not your traditional Japanese restaurant but I knew that coming in. We ordered Edamame, the Yuzu Pepper Chicken, and the Albacore on Crispy Rice Roll. For drinks, I had the Lychee Sochu Soda and my friend had a Passion Fruit Ice Tea.

The Albacore on Crispy Rice Roll was a poor replica of the Rolls offered at Katana and Koi. I don't like those rolls there either but if you are going to make rolls with crispy rice, make it more like those two places. The Yuzu Pepper Chicken was juicy but lacked flavor. We had to ask for extra salt on the side to accompany that plate. Lastly, the edamame came out after we finished our two dishes! We sent it back because we obviously didn't want that for dessert.

Drink-wise, the Lychee Sochu Soda was pretty good. My friend thought the drink was strong but I thought it was pretty weak. I guess we all have our opinions on drinks too. The passion fruit tea was average.

In summary, the food and drinks here are decent but I don't think I'll be returning. If I do return (at gunpoint most likely) I think I'll try the unagi rice. Besides that, the only thing I really liked about this restaurant was their music.

Ate here for my bday. Place wasn't pack but still had to wait for a table that i had reserved at 8 but arrived at 730. Wait for 15mins or so.Anyways its hot in there. We asked our waiter and he told us the story about their 1 AC...yes 1.so if you come here during summer time eat outside.Much cooler. I have to admit the food was good. Sushi pizza was ok, the bibimbap was good, but the seafood dynamite was quite delicious. Free bday dessert, honey toast which is ok wasn't all that great.Lychee saketini was yummy not too strong. Its only $3.50 during happy hour.Well worth it.Overall the place is nice, small portion of food but quality is good.Happy hours sun-thurs 9pm-close.

I am generally not a fan of modernized/fusion Japanese, but this place pulls the theme off pretty well.

It also has a nice swanky lounge vibe (mirrored walls, leather booth seats, a "wooden chandelier"), so a decent hangout in the area for the young adult crowd (it does, however, look very out of place compared to rest of the chain haven known as Santa Anita Westfield).

The dishes I find tastiest are the sushi pizza (sushi rice topped with baked crab/salmon/scallop/shrimp and jalapeno), mochi gratin (mochi baked with mozzarella cheese), the ishiyaki garlic shrimp with rice (prepared table side in a sizzling hot stone bowl) the unagi (eel) rice and the honey toast (basically half a loaf of bread, chopped up and toasted and drizzled with honey, butter - served a la mode).

Asides the pizza, I would avoid the sushi here -- they're working with a limited selection of fish (I believe only tuna, salmon and yellowtail) and  I'm sure there are better raw seafood to be had.

Also, another perk of this place is late night happy hour (start at 9p Sun - Thurs) - $2 sake, $3.50 sake-tinis and $3 on various finger foods--great way to end a weeknight's shopping or an early movie.

Final note: despite what votes say (as of now), I don't think they have a full bar at this location.  Cocktails are made with shochu/soju or sake (both of which are allowable under beer & wine license) and I have yet to seen a bottle or mention of spirits here.  The Bev. Hills location, however, does have a full bar.

Stopped here one afternoon last week after a day of racing around. We were very pleasantly surprised. We ordered a bunch of appetizers instead of entrees so that we could share a variety of dishes.  All were really tasty. The prices were reasonable and the wait staff was helpful and pleasant.  Nice ambiance for a mall restaurant.  We were impressed enough to put it on our list of places to try again.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD TRY THE STRAWBERRY HONEY TOAST! OMG I think i wet my pants, it was that good.

Seriously though, try the Strawberry Honey toast.

What can I say, this place rocks! We came here twice with a few of our friends and we all loved it. The Teriyaki chicken was spectacular, as was all the rolls we ordered.

I was even impressed with the various types of Sake they offered. The waiter suggested a sake for me and it was great and inexpensive. The price can get expensive but I think with the quality of food we got, it should have been double.

Pros: Atmosphere, Food, Service, Sake, Location, Parking, STRAWBERRY HONEY TOAST!!!

Cons: None!

FYI: I forgot to tell  you, try the honey toast! :D

I went there for a birthday dinner with 14 people on a busy Saturday night (too busy, actually). We were seated awkwardly in the patio. It was an uncomfortable set-up, with low tables and seats with no back support.

My table ordered the Bibimbap, Unagi Bibimbap, Ramen, Hamachi (Yellowtail) Carpaccio (really good), Rainbow Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll on Crunchy Rice, Fried Flounder.... Don't order the Bibimbap, it was dry and hard....and flavorless. The Fried Flounder was all bones. Otherwise, the food was standard, at par with other casual Japanese dining joints, aka good enough to slap it all together on a menu, serve at a site with swanky decor...and charge a considerable amount.

Major gripes: food came BEFORE utensils and drinks. What the heck? One girl's plate came 40 minutes late, when everyone else was done. Another what the heck moment. It was a super busy night, so the servers were nice but very minimally involved.

All in all, presentation was good, service was dilatory, and food only partly decent. I don't recommend going with big groups, but the place has a nice atmosphere otherwise!

This place looks too swanky to be in the Westfield Santa Anita mall! The decor is very trendy LA/NY. It's unexpected in the suburbia that is Arcadia. Tokyo Table appears extremely out of place compared to its neighboring restaurants. Don't get me wrong though, I am thankful this place opened up.

If you haven't glanced at their menu, some items are very unique compared to the standard Japanese restaurant. I'd describe their menu as "different" or "fun".

- Sushi Pizza $14
The sushi pizza is bed of rice on a sheet of seaweed and baked with  scallops and salmon. The finishing touch are sliced jalapenos, which give it a kick of heat.

- Yakitori Soba $9
Not a fan. The entire dish was topped with a bunch of those fish flakes, except they were really large pieces. So when they would move around, it almost looked like it was alive or something. I was getting pretty disgusted looking at it, so I made my friend stir the noodles. Not a pretty sight! The noodles were made with this weird sweet sauce. My friend was ok with it, but I'd never order it again.

- Shiso Fries: $4
Shoestring fries covered with some shiso seasoning. They just tasted like fries. The seasoning was fine, just that it got a bit salty. I had to give my fries a beat down to shake off some of the seasoning.

- Asari Clam Miso Soup: $3
When I opened up the soup and saw 4 clams packed into a small little bowl, I was like all right!! this looks good! The clams at first appeared to be fresh, but the taste and texture of fresh clam meat wasn't there. I suspect that they get clams and cook them very briefly while they are still alive and save them for later. It tasted like miso soup with cooked clams tossed in.

- Mochi Cheese Gratin: $8
Mochi baked with gratin. How random is that?! But of course, I had to try it. It was actually ok, but I can't finish this thing alone. One bite or two is enough. I was driven to order it bc I love cheese, and it reminded me of french onion soup. oh so frivolous!

- Green Tea Ice Cream with Azuki: $2.5
yum! you can't go wrong with green tea ice cream. It was accompanied by a waffle and red bean paste. I thought of doraemon as I was poking at the red bean. The waffle and the red bean were unnecessary, but it did make it less generic. In terms of flavor, I would've been fine with just the ice cream.

The staff was nice, and a variety of waiters/waitresses kept asking me if I wanted a box for my leftovers. Usually I'd think thats a sign that I'm no longer welcome, but they said it in a way where I thought maybe they're sincerely being nice. (Or... hoped their food was good enough to take home)

I didn't get any alcoholic beverages, but I did see that each table's waiter/waitress made the drinks on their own. So if your drink tastes damn good, consider leaving a nice(r) tip.

I'd go back for another visit because it's so convenient for me - I'm from Arcadia. Plus, it's nicer than any other restaurant around here, and I'd much rather hang out at Tokyo Table than go to Gina's/Lounge 1020. It's a good late night alternative for those in the area. They're open til 11 or 12 midnight.

We went to the mall and decided to try this place.  The decor is nicely done. We stood outside for a about 5 mins waiting for the hostess to help us.  I thought  they were closed mid day like many japanese restaurants. As we walking away, a gentleman said hi and led us to our table. He turned out to be out server.  He was nice and curteous.  The table that we were seated was extremely dirty.  It looks like someone had poured fine dust on it. Maybe they just cleaned the AC system and our table was directly under the fan.  We told our server about the problem and he sat us at a different table.
In any event, we tried about six items.  The food was ok.  A gentleman who we believed was the manager looked so tense.  He passed by a couple of time and didn't smile or has a friendy appearance.  Overall, this is a very nice place to hang out.  Food is average. Price is abit over price as I think we are paying for the presentation and the nice dishes.  Would we come back?  Not in the near future.

Ps,
Staff could've been more friendlier, including manager :)  Our server is nice enough though.

I am an "ambiance eater." Really, I will enjoy a place a lot more so long as I am feeling the good vibes of the service, the food, and of course, the company I share these times with. With that said, I am very glad my friend and I ate at this lovely place. It is small, right next to Cheese Cake Factory, located right outside the Westfield Mall. It's not often good food and great decor are associated with a mall (ahhh...the Grand Lux is a great example), and well, Tokyo Table is all that.

The service was great. A pleasant waiter, a filled cup of water, and all my questions were answered with confidence and further suggestion. There is no outdoor seating that the ones in front, which is heated by a lamp. The seating is cushioned and inside, you have a great lounge type of setting. Really, quite beautiful Asian experience. Tea-light candles light the tables, and just above you are dimmed lights.

There was not much in variety when it came to sushi, which was a bummer. Although the Sushi Pizza raised my eyebrow, I went ahead and ordered a Spider Roll. Nothing too grand about it, except, in the tradition of American dining, my sushi roll were quite big. Satisfying, but big.

I had a Japanese Vodka soda drink called...uhm..."sho...something"  and it was delightful.

My friend did have concerns about her dish. She ordered a pesto and basil topped salmon served with broccoli and potatoes. The broccoli was cooked well, her potatoes were under cooked, and the salmon was too dry. She did order this dish before, but for some reason, it did not suit her that night.

I think Tokyo Table is a great place to be amongst friends where the food and drinks are as great as its decor. It definitely prides itself on the Americanized touch of their dishes (is salmon, broccoli, and potatoes common in Tokyo?), but nonetheless, it's great to bring see (and taste) culture among us.

This place just opened at the mall a few days ago. First thing I thought was, this place looks too nice for the mall. Then I remembered there was one on La Cienega in LA... but I've never been to that one before... so long story short, it was my friends bday and we came here to eat. We had...

Lychee Mojito - too much ice, but was pretty yummy I just wish it had a little more alcohol in it
Appetizer Platter - it had edemame, french fries, chicken, cucumbers, and a spicy tuna spring roll... the fries were yummy, the chicken was good, loved the cucumber sauce, and everything else was ok
sushi pizza- maybe two of my favorite foods combined! It was good, I liked it bc it was crispy and warm sushi...
Seafood Dynamite - pretty yummy, but I wouldn't order it all the time
Albacore Tuna Carpaccio - This was ok, I've had better at other restaurants
Seared Ahi - This was fun bc you get to sear it yourself!
I shared this with 3 other guys and we were pretty satisfied. But I can't wait to go and try other things! We had a nice server but the food came out kind of slow. All in all I think you should definately give it a try. I thought everything was pretty tasty!

* I went back here and tried the chop salad, and it was really delicious and light, I really liked the dressing as well.

Hey they just added a happy hour! Sun-Thur 9-12 $2 Draft beer and sake $3 selected appetizers! Haven't gone yet but will go soon!

My gf and I had the Sushi pizza and Unagi rice. They were both really good. The place is really nice with mirrors for walls. It made it look more roomier than it is. Our waitress was very friendly. We enjoyed it so much that we signed up for their membership. We'll be dining here again.

Why is this in a mall?!?  Shouldn't it be in Oldtown or somewhere posh?  After going to their other location, I must say that I didn't agree with the location of this place along with my experience.

The hostess lacked warmth and seemed frazzled.  The waiter forgot about our drinks so it came after our food came out.  The calamari was drenched in batter so it was cakey and not crispy like it should be.  They didn't provide us with separate bowls when the handmade tofu came out so we had to eat everything on the same plate.

If you're gonna go here, go to the one on La Cienega because the experience on the whole is just that much better!  If you're paying the price, go and get what you pay for.

With that said, my ultimate favorite 2 dishes are the Mochi Gratin (creative dish on the menu) and the Ishiyaki Tuna Garlic with lemon (organic explosion in your mouth).

Go in a group and go family style so you can try all the things on the menu!

I'm gonna have to disagree with most of the reviews. I loved the ambiance and the service was great (except for the chick at the front desk who seemed to roll her eyes when she saw me) but I really didn't enjoy the food.
The best thing on my plate were the fries. I ordered the sushi pizza, which was a strange combo topped with a jalepeno. I also had the rock shrimp and it  gave my jaw a work out. The dynamite roll was a big mushy california roll smothered in mayo. The only thing I was decent was the beef thingy-majig which was like teriyaki rearranged.

Overall, we spent about 90 bucks for two people. Not very well spent might I add.

It's not often I treat myself to fusion food; so I am by no means a connoisseur... however I do hope for two things at least:

1) Great presentation!
2) Taste explosion!

So on a night of torrential rain, I made the trip to the mall with my cousins and a soggy 50% off coupon. Dashing into the restaurant, we left the cold and bleak for the warm and inviting - the interior was sleek and surprisingly un-mall like. We were sat quickly and immediately attended to for drinks. These drinks are actually mixed by your waiter, and they turned out to be quite good, the only dud being my order of Orion beer, apparently Japan's answer to Pabst Blue Ribbon. Just don't.

A huge thumbs up goes to the menu, providing tantalizing pictures of each item that could be ordered, it made us want to try each one! We eventually settled for the sushi pizza, shiso fries, mochi cheese au gratin, yakitori soba, garlic shrimp rice and a tuna salad.

Each plate was finished in a matter of moments, however the slightly underwhelming portion size has to take partial blame for that.  Particularly good was the sushi pizza, mochi cheese (quite unique) and the garlic shrimp rice.

Not content, we ordered a cinnamon honey toast which in my opinion was the highlight of the night. It delivered everything in perfect balance: it was cinnamony, it was honey-y, it was toasty. The scoop of vanilla ice cream accentuated it very nicely.

So we left satisfied, and not too empty in the wallet (thank you, soggy 50% coupon) We hoped for presentation and taste explosion, and both these things, to good degrees, can be found at Tokyo Table. It's about as good a choice as you can make if you're dining at the mall.

Went here for my sister's birthday yesterday.  I thought this was a nice place with a great ambiance.  Really sets the mood if you're planning to take someone out, but can be a great place for a night out with friends too.  The food was really tasty and the price was reasonable.  Dessert's we're good too.  You do have to try the HONEY TOAST.  That is the bomb.  I do hope to go there again soon.

I like this place cause its different from a lot of the restaurants around arcadia and san gabriel. Its a very unique but relaxing atmosphere, fusion styled food makes things better :D.  The waiters are always VERY nice, and I love the unagi rice, good amount for the price! The sushi here are mainly rolls and mixed, the sushi pizza is a very nice mix and something new to taste. Probably be coming here again soon

Booshy! Booshy! That's right! This place looked very high class from the outside and even in the inside. It has couches outdoors where you can sit, drink, and eat food like a high class picninc area. As for the service, it was great! They all greeted you when you came in(sincerely...but we all know how sincere that can be in a restaurant). Our server, Jonathan, was very polite and humble. He made a mistake in our oder and dang... apologized with contrite and humility. For that, even though it may be an act job, deserved a very good tip. The server always made sure that we were doing well. He also had his buddies ask us how we were doing. I can't complain for that.

One other cool thing, the food came in really fast. Eating from many Japanese chains that this is not true. Sometimes, you don't get your food until 20 minutes after you've ordered. Not this one.

The food taste and variety were great. I can't believe they served noodles in a Booshy restaurant.

In any case, this a great place and can't wait to tell my friends about it.

Everything I had was delicious.  The food came out very fast (went at 9:30pm on Thursday).  One bad thing is that the tables are way too small to fit all their special dish presentations (hot stone plates/bowls).  Also, because of the "grilled at your table" foods, you leave smelling like salty garlic (or maybe it was just because of the dishes I ordered).

Ume Cucumber - Refreshing dish.  Chilled cucumber wedges tossed in ume sauce and topped with a pile of shaved bonito.
Mochi Cheese Gratin - Loved it.  Two of my favorite things in one dish...melted cheese and mochi...yummm.
Ishiyaki Garlic Tuna - Slices of rare tuna with thin slices of garlic, served on a bed of diced onions.  They give you a hot stone plate so you can sear the tuna the way you like it.
Ishiyaki Garlic Shrimp w/ Rice - Came in a hot stone bowl.  Make sure to mix it well or you'll get oily rice with too much flavor at the bottom.  Good dish though...although I wish the hot stone bowl crisped up my rice more.  Delicious plump shrimp.  Very slightly spicy.
Iced Green Tea - Just normal non-sweet green tea...nothing special.

Total spent: $40.92 (good amount of food for 2...not overly stuffed but full)  I went on Valentine's Day and got a nice surprise gift when the check came...2 pairs of chopsticks with matching holders =)
